Ron aim was to make youth aware of the history of the legendary RedTail's of the famed Tuskegee airmen 332nd Fighter Group and 477th Bombardment Group of the United States Army Air Force.

He enthusiastically joined the BPA in their efforts not only through scholarship but local clinics for youth fly outs.

Teaching fellow California Redtails and encouraging them to keep up their skills, get a new rating especially instruments was Ron’s passion.

Under his leadership California Redtails became members of Angel Flight, Civil Air Patrol, EAA Young Eagles and Los Medicos Valladores.

He was made president emeritus and the Ron Lisberg Flight Challenge was the name for him in 2020.
