June was introduced to aviation when she was invited to Wings Over Houston Airshow by Cynthia Watts, a Member of the Bronze Eagles Flying Club SATX Region. Once she met the members of the Bronze Eagles, she joined shortly after. Wanting to get involved with the club activities and learn how to fly, she was elected Bronze Eagles Secretary and she has held that position for 26 years. As a member of the Bronze Eagles, she has served on the Annual Fly-In Committee, Regional Fly-In Committee, Show and Tell School Committee, Summer Flight Academy Transportation Committee and the Annual New Year’s Event Committee.

On the National BPA, Inc. level, June was recently elected Secretary for the second time (2012 and 2023). June has been a volunteer at Operation Skyhook Aviation Event for the last 20 years serving as an Event Judge and Member of Theme Event Planning Committee.
